Transneft Kozmino Port has provided assistance to the Nakhodkinskaya Gorodskaya Bolnitsa state-funded healthcare institution (Nakhodka City Hospital). The charity funds were used to ensure stable operation of infectious disease divisions established at the hospital and intended for treating patients with the coronavirus infection.
With the funds allocated, the medical institution purchased equipment to outfit hospitals: portable radios, surge protectors, routers, as well as disinfectants, elbow dispensers and bags for medical waste.
At present, six divisions with 320 beds are established in the city district to treat residents of Nakhodka, Partizansky and Shkotovsky Districts and other territories of southern Primorye Territory.
"Outfitting the infectious disease divisions with additional equipment and consumable medical supplies will provide additional sanitary and information security. In particular, communication facilities will enable medical personnel working in the “red” zones to interact with colleagues from other units and the administration of the medical institution without the risk of spreading the infection. In addition, disinfectant consumption has increased several times in the recent months. Thanks to the support of the Kozmino oil port, we will be able to improve the efficiency of the city hospital during this difficult period for all," says Alfiya Semenyuk, Acting Chief Physician of the Nakhodka City Hospital.
