Transneft Port Kozmino has hosted the 1st round of the second stage of the 15th International Youth Science and Technology Conference.
The competition is traditionally held in seven sections allowing to discuss a wide range of challenges faced by the Company. The participants presented their work in the field of pipeline operation, dispatching, ecology and occupational health, innovations and economics.
During the 1st round, 19 employees of the Company under the age of 30 presented 15 projects. The competition committee included deputy directors general of the named fields and chief specialists of the Company’s executive office.
Director General of Transneft Port Kozmino Denis Cheplyansky noted in his welcoming speech for the participants: “Participation in the science and technology conference is important both for the authors of the works and for the Company in general. The best developments of young talented workers will be implemented to increase the operational efficiency.”
Among the priority topics, members of the committee noted the works aimed at reducing energy consumption, optimising production processes and ensuring occupational safety.
A relay protection and automation engineer Artyom Kozimirov with his algorithm for relay protection of a packaged transformer substation became the winner of the competition for the best scientific and technical development. 2nd place was taken by the process engineer Anatoly Sull with his project on improving efficiency of utility water treatment. According to the results of the conference, 3rd place was taken by the chemical analysis laboratory assistant Anastasia Rudkovskaya with her scientific work on LACT unit equipment.
The 1st-place project will be presented at the second round of the 15th International Youth Science and Technology Conference of Transneft.
The Youth Science and Technology Conference is carried out annually to support creative initiative in young professionals, develop research and technology operational capabilities and work out innovative technology solutions for oil transportation.
