Date of publication: 26 December 2018 Print

Transneft Kozmino Port has fully implemented a set of measures for saving and efficient use of fuel and energy resources within the energy saving programme for 2018. The savings amounted to 1,127 million roubles.

The current year was declared the Year of Energy Efficiency in Russia and in Transneft; in particular, the Company installed 1,171 LED lights at the port’s operational sites. Such devices are characterised by increased service life, reliability and efficiency.

Cleaning the internal surface of pipelines and upgrading heat supply stations also contributes to saving energy and lowering fuel consumption. In 2018, a 23-kilometre long section of the Shleif Na Neftebazu (Flowline to Oil Depot) trunk pipeline was cleaned. Seven individual heat supply stations of the oil port are equipped with automatic systems that regulate the heat supply to the buildings depending on the outdoor temperature.

Special attention was paid to the efficient use of motor fuel for transport. The Company operates 107 motor vehicles for various purposes: cars, cargo and passenger vehicles as well as road construction and specialty vehicles. The GLONASS system allows the transport division to control passenger and cargo transportation of the oil port and dynamically adjust routes in order to reduce kilometrage and unjustified downtime.
